EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 40.495 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index increased against the major currencies during May 8 2024, the index reached 40.495 points, compared to 40.313 points at yesterday's trading.
The Egyptian pound index rose against seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.
It rose against pound sterling, Japanese Yen, US dollar, UAE dirham, Saudi riyal, Chinese Yuan, Euro.
The average selling price of the US dollar in Egypt fell from EGP 47.76 to EGP 47.60 while the average buying decreased from EGP 47.66 to EGP 47.50 at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt declined from EGP 51.42 to EGP 51.17 while the average buying decreased from EGP 51.30 to EGP 51.04 at the end of today's trading.
The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt decreased from EGP 59.91 to EGP 59.46 while the average buying fell from EGP 59.77 to EGP 59.33 at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt decreased from EGP 30.92 to EGP 30.61 while the average buying fell from EGP 30.85 to EGP 30.54 at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt decreased from EGP 6.61 to EGP 6.58 while the average buying fell from EGP 6.60 to EGP 6.57 at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 12.73 to EGP 12.69 while the average buying fell from EGP 12.70 to EGP 12.66 at the end of today's trading
The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt decreased from EGP 13.00 to EGP 12.96 while the average buying fell from EGP 12.97 to EGP 12.93 at the end of today's trading.
