Abdul Sattar Abu Ghuddahis one of the leading Islamic economists and Islamic banking scientists in the world. He was a member of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy in Jeddah, a member of the European Council for Advisory and Research, specialized in comparative Islamic Fiqh, especially the Fiqh of financial transactions and Islamic banking studies, in addition to his extensive experience in studying zakat, accounting and audit.
Born in 1940 in Aleppo, Abu Ghada studied sharia and rights at Damascus University simultaneously, He graduated first in 1964 and second in 1965, and then continued his postgraduate studies at Al-Azhar University in Egypt. He received a master's degree in sharia law in 1966, then a master's degree in modern science in 1967, and a doctorate in sharia law in comparative jurisprudence in 1975 from Al-Azhar University
