Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 3 July 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.36% to record EGP 422.855 bn compared to EGP 421.343 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.40% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 357.492 mn which represents 6.96% of the total trading volume today after 5.882 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.43% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 267.7 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.63%, to record 28.374 points EGX70 increased by 0.18% to record 6283.86 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.11% to record 9152.45points.
