The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 13 August 2024 with an decrease in the market cap by 1.14% to record EGP 449.288bn compared to EGP 454.464 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.10% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 420.148mn which represents 10.43 % of the total trading volume today after 6.535million shares were exchanged capturing 0.77% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 1.26%, to record 29.792 points EGX70 decreased by 0.53% to record 6.646points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.69% to record 9.584points.
