Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 27 August 2024 with an increase in the market cap by 0.1% to record EGP 467.442bn compared to EGP 466.787bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.57% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 507.577mn which represents 8.74% of the total trading volume today after 10.169million shares were exchanged capturing 0.88% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.76% to reach 30.570 points EGX70 increase by 1.04% to record 7.020 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1% to record 10.042 points.
