CIB, ADIB, HDB fastest growing listed banks in terms of direct loans in 9M
Commercial International Bank topped First Bank list of fastest growing listed banks in terms of direct loans during the first 9 months of 2022
The bank’s total direct loans portfolio posted EGP 67.9 billion at the end of September 2022, compared to EGP 49.8 billion at the end of 2021 with a growth rate of 36.41 %.
First bank rating list, which included 10 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, revealed that listed banks recorded positive growth rates in terms of direct loans portfolio during the period from January to September 2022.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt ranked second, with a growth rate of 24.36% as its direct loans portfolio increased from EGP27.7 billion at the end of December 2021, compared to EGP 34.5 billion at the end of September 2022.
In addition, Housing and Development Bank ranked third, with a growth rate of 24.22%. The bank's direct loan portfolio increased to 5.3 billion pounds at the end of September 2022, compared to 4.2 billion pounds at the end of December 2021.
Furthermore, Al Baraka-Egypt came fourth, with a growth rate of 24.20% as its direct loan portfolio increased to 23.2 billion pounds at the end of September 2022, compared to 18.7 billion at the end of last year.
The figures included in the list are according to the independent financial results announced for each bank by the end of September 2022.
Credit Agricole Bank – Egypt came in fifth place, after its direct loan portfolio increased by 23.81% jumping from EGP 11.9 billion at the end of December 2021, to reach EGP 14.8 billion at the end of September 2022.
