EBank, HDB, ADIB, Saib were fastest growing listed banks net interest income during 9M
Export and Development Bank (Ebank) topped First Bank list of fastest growing listed banks in terms of net interest income during the first 9 months of 2022 The bank’s net interest income posted EGP 2.1 billion at the end of September 2022, compared to EGP 1.4 billion at the end of 2021 with a growth rate of 53.96%.
First bank rating list, which included 11 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, revealed that 10 listed banks recorded positive growth rates in terms of net interest income during the period from January to September 2022. However, one bank recorded a decline in net interest income during the same period.
Housing and Development bank came in second place, after its net interest income recorded 39.05 % to generate EGP 3.4 billion at the end of September 2022, compared to , EGP 2.5 billion pounds during the same comparable period of 2021.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt “ADIB” came in third place, after its net interest income increased by 33.60% to record 3.4 billion pounds during the first 9 months of 2022, compared to 2.5 billion during the same period last year.
However, Saib was in fourth place after its net interest income rose by 31.32% generating 2.1 billion pounds during 9M-22, compared to 1.6 billion during 9M-21.
QNB Al Ahli came in fifth with a growth rate of 26.43%. Its net interest income posted 13.8 billion pounds during the first 9 months of 2022, compared to 10.9 billion during the same period last year.
