E-Bank, Saib, HDB fastest growing listed banks in credit cards in 9M
E-Bank topped First Bank list of fastest growing listed banks in terms of credit cards during the first 9 months of 2022
The bank’s total credit cards portfolio posted EGP 54.5 million at the end of September 2022, compared to EGP38.1 billion at the end of 2021 with a growth rate of 43.09%.
First bank rating list, which included 10 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, revealed that listed banks recorded positive growth rates in terms of credit cards during the period from January to September 2022.
SAIB came in second place, after its credit cards portfolio jumped by 37.3% generating EGP 286.9 million at the end of last September, compared to EGP 208 million at the end of 2021.
The Housing and Development Bank ranked third, with a growth rate of 32.43%, after its credit card portfolio increased to 90.5 million pounds at the end of September 2022, compared to 68.4 million pounds at the end of December 2021. In addition,
Furthermore, The Egyptian Gulf Bank “EGBANK” came in fourth place, with a growth rate of 22.48%, as its credit card portfolio increased to 97.8 million pounds at the end of September 2022, compared to 79.8 million pounds at the end of December 2021.
The Suez Canal Bank managed to get fifth place with a growth rate of 22.46% during the first 9 months of 2022, after its credit card portfolio recorded EGP 36.5m at the end of September 2022, compared to EGP 29.8m at the end of December 2021.
