Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday, 26 March 2025 with an increases in the market cap by 0.21% to record EGP 488.961 bn compared to EGP  487.952 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.68% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 200.701 mn which represents  6.60% of the total trading volume today after 3.799 million shares were exchanged capturing  0.26% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increases and turnover amounted EGP  258.8 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 0.06% to reach 31.829 points EGX70 increase by 0.77% to record 8.966 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by   0.53% to record  12.351 points.
