EBank's customer loan portfolio achieves the fastest annual growth rate of 37% in the last 4 years

Egyptian Export Development Bank «EBank» was able to achieve a record increase in its total customer loan portfolio during the past year after it rose at a growth rate of 36.84% and by more than 20 billion pounds, reaching 74.7 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 54.6 billion by the end of 2023, recording the highest growth rate.Annual growth during the last 4 years.

 

Tracking the portfolio’s growth journey over the period under analysis, we find that «EBank» achieved the second fastest annual growth rate in the size of its customer deposit portfolio during the year 2022, at a rate of 23.29%, after the total portfolio moved from 36.4 billion pounds by the end of 2021, to reach 44.8 billion by the end of 2022, achieving an increase of 8.5 billion pounds.

The bank also witnessed a remarkable growth in its total customer loans during the year 2023 after the size of the portfolio increased by 21.87% to reach 54.6 billion pounds by the end of 2023, while it achieved a growth rate of 0.28% during the year 2021.

In general, «EBank» was able to achieve record results in its main financial indicators during the past year, as its net profits increased at a growth rate of 65.93% and an increase of 2.057 billion pounds, recording 5.177 billion pounds during 2024, compared to 3.120 billion pounds during 2023.

The bank's pre-tax profits increased at a growth rate of 64.23%, recording 7.278 billion pounds in 2024, compared to 4.432 billion in 2023, with an increase of 2.846 billion pounds.

While the bank's net interedt income increased at a growth rate of 53.53% and an increase of 2.900 billion pounds during the past year, to record 8.319 billion pounds during 2024, compared to 5.419 billion pounds during 2023.

In terms of the financial position statement, the bank’s total assets jumped at a growth rate of 55.77% and an increase of 65.11 billion pounds over the past year, recording 181.87 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 116.76 billion by the end of 2023.

The bank was able to increase its deposit portfolio to a record high, after it rose at a growth rate of 57.94% and an increase of 50.4 billion pounds over the past year, to record 137.3 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 86.9 billion by the end of 2023.
