HD Bank, Bank NXT and Al Baraka Fastest-Growing Banks in Credit cards During H1-2025

HD Bank tops the list of the fastest-growing banks in credit cards with a growth rate of 57.4%, while BankNXTsecured second place with 56.1%.
Al Barakaranked third with a growth rate of 33.1%, followed by ABK-Egypt and SC Bank in fourth and fifth places with 26.9% and 24.9%, respectively, during the first half of 2025.
NBK-Egypt, BDC, and ADCB were also among the top 10 fastest-growing banks in mortgage loans, with growth rates of 22.7%, 20.7%, and 19.9%, respectively.
First Bank’s list of the fastest-growing banks in credit cards during the first half of 2025 revealed that Housing and Development Bank «HD» topped the ranking with a growth rate of 57.4%, Its credit cards rose to EGP 437.78 million by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 278.13 million at the end of 2024.
The list monitored the credit cards of 24 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, based on available financial data. Results showed that all banks achieved positive growth in credit cards during the first half of 2025.
Bank NXT came in second place, as its credit cards increased by 56.1% to reach EGP 612.71 million by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 392.63 million at the end of 2024.
Al Baraka Bank secured third place, recording growth of 33.1% to EGP 323.57 million, up from EGP 243.04 million at the end of 2024.
Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «ABK-Egypt» ranked fourth with 26.9% growth, as credit cards rose to EGP 1.09 billion by June 2025, compared to EGP 861.86 million at the end of 2024.
Suez Canal Bank followed in fifth place with a 24.9% increase, bringing its credit cards to EGP 125.32 million, compared to EGP 100.33 million at the end of 2024.
National Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «NBK-Egypt» came sixth, with credit cards up 22.7% to EGP 972.61 million, versus EGP 792.99 million in December 2024.
Banque de Caire «BDC» took seventh place, recording 20.7% growth to EGP 3.85 billion, compared to EGP 3.19 billion previously.
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank-Egypt «ADCB» followed in eighth place, as credit cards rose by 19.9% to EGP 659.76 million by June 2025, against EGP 550.05 million at the end of 2024.
In ninth place, saib recorded 17.7% growth, with credit cards climbing to EGP 620.62 million from EGP 527.38 million.
Finally, the United Bank ranked tenth, as credit cards grew 17.1% to EGP 140.91 million by June 2025, compared to EGP 120.34 million at the end of 2024.
It is worth noting that all values and growth rates mentioned above are based on the independent financial statements released by each bank at the end of June 2025.
