SC Bank, Emirates NBD-Egypt, and ADCB Fastest-Growing Private Banks in Total Assets During H1-2025

SC Bank tops the list of the fastest-growing private banks in total assets with a growth rate of 26.2%, while Emirates NBD-Egypt ranked second with 21%.

ADCB-Egypt came third with a 17.1% growth rate, followed by ABK-Egypt and ADIB-Egypt in fourth and fifth places with 15.4% and 14.4%, respectively, during the first half of 2025.

saib, FABMISR, and Alex Bank were also among the top 10 fastest-growing private banks in total assets, recording growth rates of 12.7%, 11.7%, and 11.6%, respectively.

First Bank’s ranking of the fastest-growing private sector banks in total assets during H1-2025 revealed that Suez Canal Bank topped the list with a 26.2% increase, as its total assets rose to EGP 227.32 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 180.19 billion at the end of 2024.

The ranking monitored the total asset portfolios of 21 private banks operating in Egypt’s banking sector, for which financial data was available during the first half of 2025. All banks under review recorded positive growth rates, according to their independent financial statements.

It is worth noting that private banks are defined as those with more than 50% private ownership, according to data from Egypt’s Ministry of Public Business Sector.

Returning to the ranking, Emirates NBD-Egypt claimed the second position, with total assets rising 21% during the first half of 2025 to EGP 192.25 billion, up from EGP 158.93 billion at the end of 2024.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank-Egypt «ADCB» ranked third, as its total assets grew 17.1% to EGP 157.04 billion by June 2025, compared to EGP 134.16 billion at the end of 2024.

In fourth place, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «ABK-Egypt» posted 15.4% growth, with total assets reaching EGP 163.43 billion, up from EGP 141.60 billion at the end of 2024.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» followed in fifth place, with a 14.4% increase in total assets to EGP 296.01 billion, compared to EGP 258.84 billion at the end of 2024.

saib came sixth, recording 12.7% growth in total assets, which reached EGP 169.05 billion by June 2025, versus EGP 150 billion at the end of 2024.

First Abu Dhabi Bank-Egypt «FABMISR» ranked seventh, with total assets up 11.7% to EGP 461.05 billion, compared to EGP 412.71 billion at the end of 2024.

Alex Bank secured the eighth spot, posting 11.6% growth in total assets to EGP 239.45 billion, compared to EGP 214.57 billion at the end of 2024.

BANK NXT ranked ninth, with a 11.2% increase in total assets to EGP 88.30 billion, up from EGP 79.42 billion at the end of 2024.

Finally, Commercial International Bank «CIB» rounded out the top ten, recording 8.7% growth in total assets to EGP 1.31 trillion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 1.21 trillion at the end of 2024.
