«BANK NXT», «ADIB-Egypt», and «EGBANK» Are the Fastest-Growing Private Sector Banks in Customer Loans During H1-2025

«BANK NXT» tops the list of the fastest-growing private sector banks in total customer loans with a growth rate of 26.1%, while «ADIB-Egypt» secured second place with 24.8%.
«EGBANK» ranked third on the list with a growth rate of 22.8%, while «ADCB» and «SC Bank» came in fourth and fifth with 22.6% and 21.6%, respectively, during the first half of 2025.
«CIB», «saib», and «Emirates NBD-Egypt» were also among the top 10 fastest-growing private sector banks in total customer loans, with growth rates of 19.8%, 19.2%, and 15.2%, respectively.
First Bank’s ranking of the fastest-growing private sector banks in total customer loans during the first half of 2025 revealed that BANK NXT topped the list with a growth rate of 26.1%, as its loan portfolio increased to EGP 41.01 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 32.51 billion at the end of 2024.
The list, which included 21 private sector banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector for which financial data was available during the analysis period, showed that all banks achieved positive growth in their total customer loan portfolios during H1-2025, according to the independently published financial statements of each bank.
It is worth noting that private sector banks are those in which the total private ownership exceeds 50%, according to data from the Egyptian Ministry of Public Business Sector.
Returning to the ranking, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» came second, as its total customer loans increased by 24.8% during H1-2025, reaching EGP 128.21 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 102.74 billion at the end of 2024.
EGBANK ranked third with a growth rate of 22.8%, as its total customer loans rose to EGP 58.98 billion by the end of June 2025, up from EGP 48.03 billion at the end of 2024.
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank – Egypt «ADCB» came fourth, after its total customer loans rose by 22.6% during the first half of 2025, reaching EGP 67.39 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 54.96 billion at the end of 2024.
Suez Canal Bank «SC Bank» ranked fifth, as its total customer loans increased by 21.6% to EGP 96.25 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 79.17 billion at the end of 2024.
Commercial International Bank «CIB» came sixth with a growth rate of 19.8%, as its total customer loans reached EGP 466.81 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 389.57 billion at the end of 2024.
saib Bank ranked seventh, with total customer loans increasing by 19.2% to EGP 78.61 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 65.93 billion at the end of 2024.
Emirates NBD – Egypt came eighth with a growth rate of 15.2%, as its total customer loans rose to EGP 96.88 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 84.06 billion at the end of 2024.
Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt «ABK-Egypt» ranked ninth with a growth rate of 13.4%, as total customer loans increased to EGP 78.36 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 69.09 billion at the end of 2024.
Finally, First Abu Dhabi Bank – Egypt «FABMISR» came tenth, as its total customer loans portfolio rose by 11.9% during H1-2025, reaching EGP 166.61 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 148.90 billion at the end of 2024.
