KFH-Egypt, SC Bank, and Banque Misr Lead the Rankings of Banks Most Focused on Corporate Lending by End of June 2025
KFH-Egypt Leads the Rankings of Banks Most Focused on Corporate Lending with 93.02%… SC Bank Comes Second with 92.15%
Banque Misr ranks third with 90.68%, while NBE and AAIB secure the fourth and fifth places with 90.62% and 87.27%, respectively.
FABMISR, EBank, and ABC-Egypt are also among the top 10 banks most concentrated in corporate lending, with concentration ratios of 85.47%, 85.05%, and 84.23%, respectively.
The First Bank list of the most corporate-focused banks by the end of June 2025 revealed that Kuwait Finance House-Egypt «KFH-Egypt» topped the ranking, as corporate loans represented 93.02% of its total loan portfolio. The bank’s corporate loan book amounted to EGP 86.91 billion, out of total customer loans of EGP 93.44 billion by the end of June 2025.
The ranking tracks investment trends across 27 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector for which financial statements were available during the review period, focusing specifically on corporate loan portfolios. It is based on the ratio of corporate loans to total customer loans, providing an indicator of how concentrated each bank’s lending portfolio is in corporate financing.
Returning to the list Suez Canal Bank «SC Bank» came in second, with corporate loans representing 92.25% of its total customer loans. The bank’s corporate loan portfolio reached EGP 88.79 billion, compared to total customer loans of EGP 96.25 billion at the end of June 2025.
Banque Misr ranked third, with corporate loans accounting for 90.68% of its total loan book, reaching EGP 1.18 trillion out of EGP 1.31 trillion in total customer loans by the end of June 2025.
The National Bank of Egypt «NBE» followed in fourth place, with corporate loans making up 90.62% of its customer loan portfolio, recording EGP 3.92 trillion in corporate loans out of a total EGP 4.33 trillion in customer loans by the end of June 2025.
In fifth place, Arab African International Bank «AAIB» reported 87.27% of its total loans in corporate financing, with corporate loans amounting to EGP 194.22 billion and total customer loans reaching EGP 222.54 billion by the end of June 2025.
First Abu Dhabi Bank-Egypt «FABMISR» secured sixth place, with 85.47% of its customer loans directed toward corporate financing, recording EGP 142.40 billion in corporate loans and EGP 166.61 billion in total loans by the end of June 2025.
Export Development Bank of Egypt «EBank» ranked seventh, with corporate loans forming 85.05% of its total loan book, amounting to EGP 67.88 billion out of EGP 79.81 billion in total customer loans.
Arab Banking Corporation «ABC Egypt» came eighth, as 84.23% of its total loans were allocated to corporate financing, reaching EGP 29.16 billion in corporate loans out of EGP 34.62 billion in total loans.
National Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «NBK–Egypt» ranked ninth, with corporate loans representing 82.03% of total customer loans, reaching EGP 94.01 billion out of EGP 114.59 billion by the end of June 2025.
Rounding out the top ten, Commercial International Bank «CIB» allocated 81.81% of its total customer loan portfolio to corporate lending, recording EGP 381.90 billion in corporate loans out of a total EGP 466.81 billion in customer loans by the end of June 2025.
