saib, SC Bank, and CIB Lead Private Sector Banks in Corporate Direct Financing Growth During H1 2025
saib tops the list of the fastest-growing private sector banks in corporate direct financing with a growth rate of 55.4%… SC Bank ranks second with 49.9%
CIB takes third place with a growth rate of 32.6%… while ADIB-Egypt and ADCB secure fourth and fifth places with growth rates of 27.8% and 26.9%, respectively.
EGBANK, FABMISR, and BANK NXT are among the top 10 fastest-growing private sector banks in direct financing, with growth rates of 19.3%, 15.6%, and 14.5%, respectively.
The First Bank ranking of the fastest-growing private sector banks in corporate direct financing during the first half of 2025 revealed that saib Bank topped the list, with its portfolio surging by 55.4% to reach EGP 11.58 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 7.45 billion at the end of 2024.
The First Bank ranking monitored the size of corporate direct financing portfolios across 20 private sector banks operating in Egypt’s banking industry, for which financial data was available during the analysis period. The results showed that 18 banks recorded positive growth rates, while two banks witnessed a noticeable decline in their portfolios during the first half of 2025, based on the independently published financial statements of each bank.
It is worth noting that private sector banks are defined as those in which private ownership exceeds 50% of total capital, according to data from Egypt’s Ministry of Public Business Sector.
Returning to the ranking, Suez Canal Bank «SC Bank» captured second place, as its corporate direct lending portfolio grew by approximately 49.9% during the first six months of the year, reaching EGP 29.62 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 19.75 billion by the end of 2024.
In third place, Commercial International Bank «CIB» saw its direct corporate loans portfolio climb by 32.6% during the first half of the year, reaching EGP 188.66 billion by the end of June 2025, up from EGP 142.23 billion at the end of 2024.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» ranked fourth, after recording a 27.8% rise in its direct financing portfolio during H1 2025, reaching EGP 76.11 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 59.54 billion at the end of 2024.
Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank-Egypt «ADCB» came fifth, as its direct lending portfolio expanded by 26.9% during the same period, reaching EGP 36.21 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 28.54 billion at the end of 2024.
In sixth place, EGBANK’s direct financing portfolio reached EGP 19.97 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 16.74 billion at the end of 2024 a 19.3% increase during H1 2025.
Abu Dhabi First Bank-Egypt «FABMISR» ranked seventh, with its direct loan portfolio growing by 15.6% in the first half of 2025, to EGP 73.53 billion at the end of June, compared to EGP 63.59 billion at the end of 2024.
In eighth place, Bank NXT recorded a 14.5% rise in its direct financing portfolio, reaching EGP 18.49 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 16.14 billion by the end of 2024.
Kuwait Finance House-Egypt «KFH-Egypt» ranked ninth, with its direct loans’ portfolio up 13.3% in the first half of 2025, totaling EGP 62.86 billion at the end of June 2025, versus EGP 55.51 billion at the end of 2024.
Finally, Emirates NBD-Egypt claimed tenth place, after its direct corporate lending portfolio rose by 12.8% during the first half of the year, reaching EGP 27.49 billion at the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 24.37 billion at the end of 2024.
