FABMISR, Emirates NBD, and KFH-Egypt lead the list of top private sector banks on the First Bank Resource Utilization Index as of June 2025

FABMISR tops the First Bank index of the best private sector banks in terms of resource utilization, recording a utilization rate of 92.11% Emirates NBD-Egypt ranks second with 86.60%

KFH-Egypt comes in third with a rate of 84.18%... while QNB-Egypt and Al Baraka Bank secure the fourth and fifth places with utilization rates of 83% and 82.16%, respectively.

The First Bank Index of the top private sector banks in Egypt in terms of resource utilization as of June 2025 revealed that First Abu Dhabi Bank-Egypt «FABMISR» ranked first, with a utilization rate of 92.11%.

The bank successfully employed EGP 327.06 billion of its traditional resources in customer loans and financial investments, while its total traditional resources reached EGP 355.08 billion as of June 2025.

This index, developed by the First Bank Research Center, measures the utilization rate of traditional resources (deposits + equity) in loans and financial investments across 21 private sector banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector as of June 2025, based on the independently audited financial statements of each bank.

It is worth noting that private sector banks are defined as those in which private ownership exceeds 50%, according to data from Egypt’s Ministry of Public Enterprise Sector.

Returning to the rankings, Emirates NBD-Egypt claimed second place with a resource utilization rate of 86.60%, after allocating EGP 145.10 billion of its traditional resources to customer loans and financial investments, out of a total of EGP 167.55 billion in traditional resources as of June 2025.

Kuwait Finance House-Egypt «KFH-Egypt» ranked third, achieving a resource utilization rate of 84.18%, having deployed EGP 121.73 billion of its total traditional resources in customer financing and financial investments, while its total traditional resources reached EGP 144.60 billion as of June 2025.

In fourth place, Qatar National Bank-Egypt «QNB-Egypt» recorded a utilization rate of 83%, after allocating EGP 663.41 billion of its traditional resources to customer loans and financial investments, with total traditional resources amounting to EGP 799.26 billion by the end of June 2025.

Al Baraka Bank followed in fifth place, with a utilization rate of 82.16%, having deployed EGP 105.40 billion of its traditional resources into customer financing and financial investments, out of a total of EGP 128.28 billion as of June 2025.

EGBANK secured sixth place, with a resource utilization rate of 81.31%, having allocated EGP 104.55 billion of its traditional resources to loans and financial investments, out of a total of EGP 128.58 billion as of June 2025.

Attijariwafa Bank Egypt came seventh, with a utilization rate of 80.51%, after deploying EGP 92.29 billion of its EGP 114.64 billion in traditional resources into loans and investments by the end of June 2025.

National Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «NBK-Egypt» ranked eighth, recording a resource utilization rate of 79.41%, having used EGP 152.39 billion of its traditional resources for loans and financial investments, out of EGP 191.92 billion in total resources as of June 2025.

In ninth place, Commercial International Bank «CIB» achieved a utilization rate of 77.23%, after employing EGP 939.32 billion of its traditional resources in customer loans and financial investments, while its total traditional resources stood at EGP 1.22 trillion as of June 2025.

Finally, Bank NXT secured tenth place, with a resource utilization rate of 75.97%, having allocated EGP 64.85 billion of its EGP 85.37 billion in traditional resources to loans and financial investments by the end of June 2025.
