EBank, SC Bank, and EGBANK Lead Private Banks in Institutional Deposits Concentration by End of June 2025

EBank tops the list with 85.26% of total deposits held by institutions, followed by Suez Canal Bank at 83.91% and EGBANK at 80.06%.

ADCB and FABMISR ranked fourth and fifth with institutional deposit concentration rates of 79.83% and 76.61%, respectively.

KFH-Egypt, ABC, and ABK-Egypt are also among the top 10 banks, with concentration rates of 75.48%, 72.33%, and 69.47%, respectively.

The First Bank ranking of banks most focused on institutional deposits as of the end of June 2025 revealed that the Export Development Bank of Egypt «EBank» topped the list, with institutional deposits accounting for 85.26% of its total customer deposits. The bank’s institutional deposits reached EGP 117.39 billion, while total customer deposits stood at EGP 137.69 billion by the end of June 2025.

The list monitors banks’ tendencies in structuring their deposit portfolios across 25 operating banks in the Egyptian banking sector, based on available financial data for the analyzed period. It specifically examines diversification strategies in deposit products and certificates aimed at attracting different customer segments. The analysis relies on the ratio of institutional deposits to total deposits, providing an indicator of how concentrated each bank’s deposit portfolio is in institutional funds.

Returning to the list, Suez Canal Bank ranked second, with 83.91% of its total deposits valued at EGP 175.17 billion coming from institutions, totaling EGP 146.99 billion in institutional deposits as of June 2025.

EGBANK claimed third place, with institutional deposits accounting for 80.06% of its total deposits. Its institutional deposit portfolio reached EGP 94.13 billion, out of total deposits of EGP 117.57 billion by the end of June 2025.

In fourth place came Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank-Egypt «ADCB», where institutional deposits represented 79.83% of total customer deposits of EGP 132.85 billion, with institutional deposits reaching EGP 106.06 billion as of June 2025.

First Abu Dhabi Bank-Egypt «FABMISR» ranked fifth, with a concentration rate of 76.61%, having institutional deposits of EGP 220.99 billion out of total customer deposits amounting to EGP 288.48 billion by the end of June 2025.

Kuwait Finance House-Egypt «KFH-Egypt» took sixth place, as institutional deposits made up 75.48% of its EGP 124.79 billion total customer deposits, amounting to EGP 94.18 billion by the end of June 2025.

Arab Banking Corporation- Egypt «ABC» followed in seventh place, with institutional deposits comprising 72.33% of total deposits EGP 52.61 billion out of EGP 72.74 billion.

Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait–Egypt «ABK-Egypt» secured the eighth spot, with 69.47% of total deposits EGP 139.09 billion coming from institutions, totaling EGP 96.63 billion as of June 2025.

BANK NXT ranked ninth, with a concentration rate of 66.07%, as institutional deposits reached EGP 50.34 billion, compared to total deposits of EGP 76.19 billion by the end of June 2025.

Finally, SAIB Bank completed the top 10 list, with institutional deposits making up 64.29% of total customer deposits. Its institutional deposits amounted to EGP 89.48 billion, while total deposits stood at EGP 139.20 billion by the end of June 2025.
