KFH-Egypt, SC Bank, and AAIB are the private sector banks most focused on corporate lending as at June 2025-End
KFH-Egypt tops the list of private sector banks most focused on corporate financing with a concentration ratio of 93.02%, while SC Bank ranks second with a concentration ratio of 92.15%.
AAIB ranks third with a concentration ratio of 87.27%, while FABMISR and ABC secure the fourth and fifth places with concentration ratios of 85.47% and 84.23% respectively.
NBK-Egypt, CIB, and QNB-Egypt are among the top ten private sector banks most focused on corporate financing with concentration ratios of 82.03% and 81.81% and 81.62% respectively.
The First Bank list of private sector banks most focused on investing in corporate financing as of the end of June 2025 revealed that Kuwait Finance House-Egypt «KFH-Egypt» topped the list after corporate financing accounted for 93.02% of its total customer financing portfolio. Corporate financing amounted to 86.91 billion pounds while total customer financing reached 93.44 billion pounds as of the end of June 2025.
The list monitors the investment directions of 21 private sector banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector for which financial data was available for the period under analysis specifically at the level of corporate lending portfolios. It relies on the criterion of corporate loans to total customer loans to indicate the extent to which a bank’s loan portfolio is concentrated in corporate loans according to the independently published financial statements of each bank.
Private sector banks are those in which the total share of private ownership exceeds fifty percent according to data from the Egyptian Ministry of Public Enterprise Sector.
Returning to the list Suez Canal Bank «SC Bank» ranked second after 92.25% of its total customer loans were concentrated in the corporate loan portfolio. Corporate loans reached 88.79 billion pounds while total customer loans amounted to 96.25 billion pounds as of the end of June 2025.
Arab African International Bank «AAIB» ranked third after 87.27% of its total customer loans were concentrated in the corporate loan portfolio. Corporate loans amounted to 194.22 billion pounds while total customer loans reached 222.54 billion pounds as of the end of June 2025.
First Abu Dhabi Bank-Egypt «FABMISR» ranked fourth after 85.47% of its total customer loans were concentrated in the corporate loan portfolio as of the end of June 2025. The bank’s corporate loan portfolio reached 142.40 billion pounds while its total customer financing portfolio amounted to 166.61 billion pounds during the same period.
ABC-Egypt ranked fifth after 84.23% of its total customer loans were concentrated in the corporate loan portfolio. Corporate loans reached 29.16 billion pounds while total customer loans amounted to 34.62 billion pounds as of the end of June 2025.
National Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «NBK-Egypt» ranked sixth after the share of corporate loans reached 82.03% of the bank’s total customer loans as of the end of June 2025. The bank’s customer financing portfolio reached 114.59 billion pounds while corporate loans amounted to 94.01 billion pounds as of the end of June 2025.
Commercial International Bank «CIB» ranked seventh after 81.81% of its total customer loans were concentrated in the corporate loan portfolio. Corporate loans reached 381.90 billion pounds while total customer loans amounted to 466.81 billion pounds as of the end of June 2025.
Qatar National Bank-Egypt «QNB-Egypt» ranked eighth after the share of corporate loans reached 81.62% of the bank’s total customer loans as of the end of June 2025. The bank’s customer financing portfolio amounted to 405.54 billion pounds while corporate loans reached 331.02 billion pounds as of the end of June 2025.
Aabu Dhabi Commercial Bank-Egypt «ADCB-Egypt» ranked ninth after 81.49% of its total customer loans were concentrated in the corporate loan portfolio as of the end of June 2025. Corporate loans reached 54.91 billion pounds while total customer loans amounted to 67.39 billion pounds as of the end of June 2025.
The tenth place went to Attijariwafa Bank Egypt after the share of corporate loans reached 80.685 of the bank’s total customer loans as of the end of June 2025. The bank’s customer financing portfolio reached 61.40 billion pounds while corporate loans amounted to 49.53 billion pounds as of the end of June 2025.
