KFH-Egypt Tops the Private Sector Banks List Most Focused on Corporate Lending with 93.02%… Suez Canal Bank Ranks Second with 92.15% Arab African International Bank (AAIB) ranks third with 87.27%, while FABMISR and ABC-Egypt secure the fourth and fifth places with 85.47% and 84.23%, respectively. National Bank of Kuwait–Egypt (NBK), CIB, and QNB-Egypt are also among the top 10 private sector banks most concentrated in corporate lending, with concentration ratios of 82.03%, 81.81%, and 81.62%, respectively.

The First Bank list of private sector banks most focused on corporate lending investments by the end of June 2025 revealed that Kuwait Finance House–Egypt (KFH-Egypt) topped the ranking, as corporate loans represented 93.02% of its total customer loan portfolio. The bank’s corporate loan book amounted to EGP 86.91 billion, out of total customer loans of EGP 93.44 billion by the end of June 2025.

The ranking tracks investment trends across 21 private sector banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, for which financial statements were available during the review period, focusing specifically on corporate loan portfolios. It is based on the ratio of corporate loans to total customer loans, providing an indicator of how concentrated each bank’s loan portfolio is in corporate financing, according to each bank’s independently published financial statements.

It is noteworthy that private sector banks are those whose total private capital contribution exceeds 50%, according to the Egyptian Ministry of Public Business Sector.

Returning to the list, Suez Canal Bank came in second, with corporate loans representing 92.25% of its total customer loans. The bank’s corporate loan portfolio reached EGP 88.79 billion, compared to total customer loans of EGP 96.25 billion by the end of June 2025.

Arab African International Bank (AAIB) ranked third, with corporate loans accounting for 87.27% of its total customer loans, reaching EGP 194.22 billion out of EGP 222.54 billion by the end of June 2025.

First Abu Dhabi Bank–Egypt (FABMISR) secured fourth place, with 85.47% of its customer loans directed toward corporate financing, recording EGP 142.40 billion in corporate loans and EGP 166.61 billion in total loans by the end of June 2025.

Arab Banking Corporation–Egypt (ABC-Egypt) came fifth, as 84.23% of its total loans were allocated to corporate financing, reaching EGP 29.16 billion in corporate loans out of EGP 34.62 billion in total loans.

National Bank of Kuwait–Egypt (NBK-Egypt) ranked sixth, with corporate loans representing 82.03% of total customer loans, reaching EGP 94.01 billion out of EGP 114.59 billion by the end of June 2025.

Commercial International Bank (CIB) came seventh, with corporate loans forming 81.81% of its total customer loan portfolio, amounting to EGP 381.90 billion out of EGP 466.81 billion by the end of June 2025.

QNB-Egypt ranked eighth, with corporate loans representing 81.62% of total customer loans, reaching EGP 331.02 billion out of EGP 405.54 billion by the end of June 2025.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank–Egypt secured ninth place, with 81.49% of its total customer loans allocated to corporate financing, recording EGP 54.91 billion in corporate loans out of EGP 67.39 billion in total loans by the end of June 2025.

Rounding out the top ten, Attijariwafa Bank Egypt recorded 80.68% of its total customer loans in corporate financing, with corporate loans amounting to EGP 49.53 billion out of total customer loans of EGP 61.40 billion by the end of June 2025.
