Suez Canal Bank Tops the List of the Fastest-Growing EGX-Listed Banks in Corporate Direct Lending, Recording a 74.6% Growth Rate, «saib» Claims Second Place with 58.3%

«CIB» secures third place with a 50.9% growth rate, while «ADIB-Egypt» and «EBank» rank fourth and fifth with growth rates of 38.5% and 37%, respectively.

The First Bank ranking of the fastest-growing EGX-listed banks in corporate direct lending during the first nine months of 2025 revealed that Suez Canal Bank topped the list. The bank’s corporate loan portfolio surged by 74.6% during the period, reaching EGP 34.49 billion by the end of September 2025, up from EGP 19.75 billion at the end of 2024.

The list, which included 11 EGX-listed banks, showed that 10 banks recorded positive growth in their corporate direct lending portfolios, while only one bank posted a notable decline. It is worth noting that Faisal Islamic Bank was excluded from the ranking due to the absence of disclosed figures.

Returning to the rankings, «saib» secured second place as its corporate lending portfolio rose by 58.3% during the first nine months of the year, reaching EGP 11.79 billion by September 2025, compared to EGP 7.45 billion at the end of 2024.

«CIB» came in third, with its corporate direct lending portfolio increasing by 50.9% during the same period, reaching EGP 214.77 billion by September 2025, up from EGP 142.23 billion at the end of 2024.

In fourth place was «ADIB-Egypt», where the corporate lending portfolio jumped by 38.5% during the first nine months of 2025 to EGP 82.43 billion, compared to EGP 59.54 billion at year-end 2024.

Fifth place went to the Export Development Bank of Egypt «EBank», which grew its corporate direct lending portfolio by 37% during the period, reaching EGP 18.49 billion by the end of September 2025, up from EGP 13.50 billion at the end of 2024.
