«SC Bank», «KFH-Egypt», and «EGBANK» Lead Growth in Personal Financing Among Private Sector Banks During the First 9 Months of 2025

«SC Bank» topped the list of the fastest-growing private sector banks in personal financing during the first nine months of 2025, followed by «KFH-Egypt».

Gulf banking groups accounted for half of the seats on the list of the top 10 fastest-growing private sector banks.

While Islamic banks secured three positions.

Listed banks captured five seats among the top 10.

According to First Bank’s ranking of the fastest-growing private sector banks operating in Egypt in terms of personal financing during the first nine months of 2025, Suez Canal Bank «SC Bank» ranked first with a growth rate of 82.3%. Its personal financing portfolio reached EGP 9.70 billion at the end of September 2025, compared with EGP 5.32 billion at the end of 2024.

Kuwait Finance House-Egypt «KFH-Egypt» came in second with a growth rate of 66.6% during the same period, after its personal financing portfolio rose to EGP 7.09 billion by the end of September 2025, compared with EGP 4.25 billion at the end of 2024.

EGBANK ranked third, recording a growth rate of 64.7% during the first nine months of 2025. Its personal financing portfolio increased to EGP 21.48 billion at the end of September 2025, up from EGP 13.04 billion at the end of 2024.

First Bank’s analysis covered the total personal financing portfolios of 19 private sector banks operating within the Egyptian banking system for which financial data were available for the first nine months of 2025. The results showed that all banks under review achieved positive growth rates, based on each bank’s published standalone financial statements.

The data also highlighted the strong performance of Gulf banking groups operating in Egypt, which accounted for half of the seats among the top 10 fastest-growing private sector banks in personal financing during the first nine months of 2025.

These included Kuwait Finance House, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Al Baraka Bank, Emirates NBD, and First Abu Dhabi Bank, while other groups were absent from the top ten.

Banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange secured five positions among the top 10 fastest-growing private sector banks in personal financing during the same period, namely: Suez Canal Bank, EGBANK, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt, saib, and Al Baraka Bank.

At the level of Islamic banks, Kuwait Finance House-Egypt, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt, and Al Baraka Bank appeared on the list of the top 10 fastest-growing private sector banks in personal financing during the first nine months of 2025.

It is worth noting that private sector banks are defined as banks in which private ownership exceeds 50% of total capital, according to data from Egypt’s Ministry of Public Business Sector.
