The «First Bank» ranking of the most corporate-focused private banks operating in Egypt as of September 2025 revealed that «Kuwait Finance House – Egypt «KFH – Egypt»» topped the list with a corporate financing concentration ratio of 91.58%, after its total customer financing reached EGP 99.80 bn by the end of September 2025, while its corporate financing portfolio amounted to EGP 91.40 bn during the same period.

Suez Canal Bank ranked second, with 90.96% of its total customer financing concentrated in corporate loans, amounting to EGP 99.70 bn, while the bank’s total customer loan portfolio recorded EGP 109.61 bn as of September 2025.

«AAIB»came in third place with a concentration ratio of 86.88%, after its total customer loans reached EGP 233.28 bn, while its corporate loan portfolio stood at EGP 202.67 bn by the end of September 2025.

The ranking monitors the lending portfolio structures of 21 private banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector for which financial data were available during the analysis period, particularly in terms of corporate financing. The index relies on the ratio (Corporate Financing / Total Customer Financing) to indicate the degree of concentration of a bank’s loan portfolio in corporate lending.

Data also showed strong performance by foreign banking groups operating in Egypt, which captured 7 positions among the top 10 most corporate-focused private banks as of September 2025, namely: «Kuwait Finance House – Egypt», «FABMISR», «Bank ABC – Egypt», «QNB Alahli», «Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank – Egypt», «NBK – Egypt», and «Attijariwafa Bank – Egypt», while other banking groups were absent from the top ten positions.

Meanwhile, banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange captured 3 positions among the top 10 most corporate-focused private banks as of September 2025, represented by: Suez Canal Bank, «QNB Alahli», and «CIB».

At the level of Islamic banks, «Kuwait Finance House – Egypt» appeared among the top 10 most corporate-focused private banks as of September 2025.

It is worth noting that private sector banks are defined as banks in which private ownership exceeds 50% of total capital, according to data from the Egyptian Ministry of Public Business Sector.
