Performance of Listed Banking Stocks at the End of Today's Trading Session
Listed Bank Stocks Show Mixed Performance at the Close of Today’s Trading Session Data from today’s trading session on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) revealed mixed performance among listed bank stocks, with 8 stocks recording gains by the end of trading, while 3 stocks declined, and one stock remained unchanged. Egyptian Gulf Bank topped the list of the best-performing bank stocks, rising by 10.51% to close at $0.547, compared with $0.495 at the opening of the session. Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt ranked second among the top gainers, increasing by 1.77% to close at EGP 53, compared with EGP 52.08 at the opening. It was followed by Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt – Dollar-denominated shares, which rose by 1.33% to close at $0.992, compared with $0.979 at the start of trading. Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt – EGP-denominated shares advanced by 1.05% to close at EGP 38.36, compared with EGP 37.96 at the opening. Meanwhile, Commercial International Bank (CIB) – Egypt gained 0.70%, ending the session at EGP 140.13, versus EGP 139.15 at the beginning of trading. Suez Canal Bank increased by 0.65% to close at EGP 38.79, compared with EGP 38.54 at the opening, followed by Housing & Development Bank, which rose by 0.46% to close at EGP 84.78, compared with EGP 84.39 at the start of the session. Additionally, Credit Agricole Egypt edged up by 0.20% to close at EGP 24.50, compared with EGP 24.45 at the opening. Meanwhile, Export Development Bank of Egypt remained unchanged, closing at EGP 20.50, the same level as its opening price. On the downside, Al Baraka Bank Egypt declined by 1.19% to close at EGP 22.45, compared with EGP 22.72 at the beginning of trading. It was followed by The United Bank, which fell by 1.05% to close at EGP 14.10, compared with EGP 14.25 at the opening. QNB Alahli also declined by 0.09%, closing at EGP 56.07, compared with EGP 56.12 at the start of the session.
