CBE is offering 4 types of T-bonds valued at EGP 5 bn
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) is set to offer treasury bonds (T-bonds) with different types and a combined value of EGP 5 billion to finance the state’s budget deficit.
CBE revealed the issuance of treasury bonds of “1.5 year” category at a value of EGP 1.5 billion, with a maturity period ending next Monday, February 20, 2023, the issuance date of February 21,next Tuesday.
On its official website, CBE indicated another issuance of T-bonds in the categories of “3 years”, “6 years” and “7 years”, provided a maturity period ending on February 20, 2023, next Monday, and the issuance date is Tuesday, February 21.
The value of issuing T-bonds in the category of “3 years” reached 3 billion pounds, while the total value of issuing in the categories of “6 years” and “7 years” reached 500 million pounds, at a rate of 250 million pounds for each, respectively.
