SCBank, CIB And HD Bank, Are Fastest Growing Listed Banks In Direct Loans At 2022
Suez Canal Bank topped First Bank list with a growth rate of 70.28%, after its direct loan portfolio increased to EGP6.7 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP 3.9 bn at the end of December 2021.
CIB took second place with 56.82% over the past year, after its total direct loan portfolio increased to EGP78 bn at the end of December 2021, compared to EGP49.8 bn at the end of December 2022
As for the third place, HD Bank came with 44.10% over the past year, after its total direct loan portfolio jumped to EGP 6.1 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP 4.2 bn at the end of the previous December.
alBaraka Bank - Egypt came in fourth place, with 39.12% over the past year, after its total direct loan portfolio increased to EGP25.9 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP 18.6 bn at the end of December 2021.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt came fifth, after its total direct loan portfolio increased by a growth rate of 32.73% over the past year, to move from EGP 27.7 bn at the end of December 2021, to reach EGP 36.8 bn at the end of December 2022.
It should be noted that all values and growth rates mentioned above, are according to separate financial statements announced for each bank at the end of December 2022.
