CIB, QNB ALAHLI, ADIB Egypt And HD Bank, Tops Listed Banks In Loans competitiveness index At 2022
FirstBank's Loans competitiveness index of listed banks during the year 2022, revealed that CIB ranked first on the index, after total loans and facilities to customers increased to EGP218.6 bn at the end of last December, compared to EGP163.1 bn at the end of December 2021. With an increase value of EGP55.5 bn.
competitiveness index measures the ability of listed banks to offer credit products or loan products to attract customers, whether individuals or corporates.
QNB Al Ahli took second place, after its total loans and facilities to customers portfolio jumped to EGP230.8 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP184.9 bn at the end of December 2021, with an increase of EGP45.98 bn.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt came in third place, after the bank’s total loans and facilities to customers increased by EGP11.95 bn over the past year, to reach EGP59.8 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP47.7 bn at the end of December 2021.
As for the fourth place, HD Bank's total loan portfolio jumped to EGP 38.2 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP26.9 bn at the end of December 2021, achieving an increase of EGP11.23 bn during the period from January to December 2022.
alBaraka Bank - Egypt came fifth after an increase in its total loan portfolio of EGP11.17 bn, to record EGP35.4 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP24.2 bn at the end of December 2021.
It should be noted that all absolute and growth values mentioned above, are according to separate financial statements announced for each bank at the end of December 2022.
