Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 18 October with Increase in the market cap by 0.46% to record EGP 329.640 bn compared to EGP 328.142 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.76% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 433.485 mn which represents 10.45% of the total trading volume today after 9.954 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.38% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX100 only and turnover amounted EGP 7.3 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.20% and 22.424 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.14% to record 3.894 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.06% to record 5.986 points.
