Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 29 November with decrease in the market cap by 1.6% to record EGP 411.442 bn compared to EGP 418.068 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.39% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 1.113 bn which represents 20.14% of the total trading volume today after 18.489 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.11% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase EGX70 only and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 1.44.% and 25.202 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.25% to record 5.255 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.15% to record 7.619 points.
