Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 13 September with Increase in the market cap by 0.73% to record EGP 307.931 bn compared to EGP 305.707 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.64% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 259.707 mn which represents 17.25% of the total trading volume today after 5.082 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.05% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Decrease and turnover amounted EGP 38.1 thousand on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.14% and 19.408 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.9% to record 3.812 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.91 % to record 5.608 points.
