Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 6 December with decrease in the market cap by 0.14% to record EGP 406.510 bn compared to EGP 407.097 bn at Yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.06% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 1.214 bn which represents 22.86% of the total trading volume today after 23.099 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.79% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease all indexes and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 1.69% and 25.307 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks declined by 1.4% to record 5.500 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 1.43% to record 7.951 points.
