Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 4 October with Increase in the market cap by 0.49% to record EGP 320.782 bn compared to EGP 319.206 bn at Yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.10% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 178.536 bn which represents 11.86% of the total trading volume today after 4.187 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.91% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP60.4 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.84% and 19.896 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.62% to record 3.735 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.82% to record 5.546 points.
