Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 25 October with Increase in the market cap by 0.85% to record EGP 330.532 bn compared to EGP 327.758 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.47% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 321.199 mn which represents 6.28% of the total trading volume today after 8.242 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.67% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 56.3 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 3.37% and 23.226 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 3.36% to record 4.326 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 3.64% to record 6.558 points.
