Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 13 December with Increase in the market cap by 0.05% to record EGP 402.558 bn compared to EGP 402.359 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.86% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 783.238 mn which represents 18.72% of the total trading volume today after 11.515 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.67% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 2.92% and 24.827 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 3.07% to record 5.279 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 3.12% to record 7.670 points.
