According To FirstBank List Of Banks Concentrating On Savings And Deposit Certificates At The End Of September Last Year, Banque Misr Topped The List, With Its Savings Certificate Portfolio Accounting For 50.44% Of Its Total Deposits Valued At EGP 1.85 tn By The End Of September 2023. Meanwhile, The Savings And Deposit Certificate Portfolio Amounted To EGP 933.46 Bn At The Same Period.

The List Reveals The Banking Corporates' Strategies In Shaping Their Deposit Portfolios Among 22 Banks In The Egyptian Banking Sector. The Data Analyzed Focused Specifically On The Issuance Of Savings And Deposit Certificates To Attract More Customers. The List Is Based On The Ratio Of Savings And Deposit Certificates To Total Deposits, Providing An Indicator Of How Much A Bank's Deposit Portfolio Is Concentrated In Savings And Deposit Certificates.

Alex Bank Bank Secured The Second Position With 42.63% Concentration, Amounting To EGP52.61 Bn In Savings And Deposit Certificates Within A Total Deposit Portfolio Valued At EGP 123.42 Bn. Followed By Banque Du Caire, With Concentration Ratio Of 37.8% During The Same Period.

Faisal Islamic Bank In Egypt Ranked Fourth With A Concentration Of 34.76%, Having A Savings Certificate Portfolio Of About EGP45.28 Bn And Total Deposits Of EGP130.27 Bn By The End Of September 2023.

alBaraka Bank Secured The Fifth Position With 34.46% Of Its Deposit Portfolio, Valued At EGP 82.29 Bn, Concentrated In Savings And Deposit Certificates Worth EGP 28.36 Bn By The End Of September 2023.

As For The Sixth Position, It Was Taken By Commercial International Bank (CIB) After 29.10% Of Its Deposit Portfolio, Valued At EGP 665.90 Bn By The End Of September 2023, Was Focused On Savings And Deposit Certificates, Which Recorded EGP 193.79 Bn By The End Of The Same Period.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt Ranked Seventh, With Its Savings And Deposit Certificates Portfolio Capturing 27.84% Of Its Total Deposits, Valued At EGP 115.31 Bn, While The Value Of The Savings And Deposit Certificates Portfolio Amounted To EGP 32.10 Bn By The End Of September 2023, NBK Egypt Followed With A Concentration Ratio Of 27.83% During The Same Period.

Qatar National Bank -QNB Al Ahli Came In Ninth Place, With Its Savings And Deposit Certificates Portfolio Representing 19.54% Of Its Total Deposits, Valued At EGP 498.34 Bn. The Value Of Its Savings And Deposit Certificates Reached EGP 97.36 Bn By The End Of September 2023.

ABK- Egypt Secured The Tenth Place, With 17.49% Of Its Deposit Portfolio Focused On Savings Certificates And Deposits. The Total Value Of Its Deposit Portfolio Amounted To Around EGP 73.78 Bn, While The Savings Certificates And Deposits Reached EGP 12.91 Bn By September 2023 End, Followed By aiBank With 16.36% By The End Of The Same Period.
