The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 18 July 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.06% to record EGP 431.278 bn compared to EGP 431.558 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.00% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 345.946 mn which represents 8.63% of the total trading volume today after8.585million shares were exchanged capturing 0.88% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.11%, to record 28.832 points EGX70 increased by 1.08% to record 6.500 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.13% to record 9.391.30 points.
