The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 23 May 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.12% to record EGP 421.125 bn compared to EGP 421.641 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.16% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 1.956 bn which represents 37.20% of the total trading volume today after 40.978million shares were exchanged capturing 6.20% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX30 alone and turnover amounted EGP 178.9 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.08%, to record 27.415 points EGX70 increased by 0.82% to record 5.958 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.59% to record 8628.98 points.
