Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 4 July 2024 with increase in the market cap by 3.26% to record EGP 436.661 bn compared to EGP 422.855 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.75% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 563.792 mn which represents 17.34% of the total trading volume today after 10.598 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.82% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 267.7 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.72%, to record 28460.63 points EGX70 decreased by 0.20% to record 6297.42 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.07% to record 9148.43points.
