The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 6 June 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.31% to record EGP 416.184 bn compared to EGP 414.894bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.54% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 274.641 mn which represents 13.80% of the total trading volume today after 4.277million shares were exchanged capturing 0.93% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 267.7 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.77%, to record 26.656 points EGX70 decreased by 0.61% to record 5.817 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.73% to record 8.455points.
