The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 24 July 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.15% to record EGP 445.534 bn compared to EGP 444.865 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.26% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 391.017mn which represents 10.37% of the total trading volume today after 7.272million shares were exchanged capturing 0.50% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.36%, to record 29.375 points EGX70 increased by 0.20% to record 6.758 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.13% to record 9.694 points.
