The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 8 August 2024 with an increase in the market cap by 0.16% to record EGP 445.493 bn compared to EGP 444.769 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.45% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 160.968mn which represents 4.80% of the total trading volume today after 3.064million shares were exchanged capturing 0.32% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX70 and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.43%, to record 28.971 points EGX70 decreased by 0.08% to record 6.542 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.05% to record 9.394points.
