The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 15 August 2024 with an increase in the market cap by 1.21% to record EGP 458.391bn compared to EGP 452.902 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.32% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 437.953mn which represents 9.88 % of the total trading volume today after 7.529million shares were exchanged capturing 0.97% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.21%, to record 29.833 points EGX70 increased by 0.90% to record 6.670 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.82% to record 9.627oints.
