The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 1 August 2024 with an stable in the market cap by 0.002% to record EGP 452.491 bn compared to EGP 452.483 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.36% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 638.140mn which represents 14.00% of the total trading volume today after 10.980 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.77% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.06%, to record 29.674 points EGX70 decreased by 0.44% to record 6.922 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.44% to record 9.864points.
