EGP index rose against a basket of major currencies to 38.869 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index increased against the major currencies during 27 August 2024, the index reached 38.869 points, compared to 38.840 points at yesterday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index rose against 6 currencies that measures the performance of the pound, it rose against US dollar, Euro, Japanese Yen, Chinese Yuan, Saudi riyal, UAE dirham and fell against pound sterling.

The average selling price of US dollar in Egypt fell from EGP 48.78 to EGP 48.75 while the average buying decreased from EGP 48.69 to EGP 48.65 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt decreased from EGP 54.46 to EGP 54.44 while the average buying fell from EGP 54.35 to EGP 54.32 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt decreased from EGP 33.84 to EGP 33.69 while the average buying decreased from EGP 33.77 to EGP 33.62 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt fell from EGP 6.85 to EGP 6.84 while the average buying fell from EGP 6.83 to EGP 6.82 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 13.00 to EGP 12.99 while the average buying decreased from EGP 12.97 to EGP 12.96 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt decreased from EGP 13.28 to EGP 13.27 while the average buying fell from EGP 13.25 to 13.24 the end of today's trading.

The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt rose from EGP 64.32 to EGP 64.44 while the average buying increased from EGP 64.18 to EGP 64.31 at the end of today's trading.
