The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 3 September 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.6% to record EGP 462.399bn compared to EGP 459.760bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached  22.60% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 332.347mn which represents 6.71% of the total trading volume today after 5.048million shares were exchanged capturing 0.50% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares. The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.93% to reach 31161.86 points EGX70 increase by 1.36% to record 7240.14 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.17%to record 10356.49 points.
