Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 29 September 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.7% to record EGP 464.139bn compared to EGP 461.057bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.31% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 226.577mn which represents 5.30% of the total trading volume today after 6.913 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.78% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.58% to reach 31.580 points EGX70 increase by 0.87% to record 7.490 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.87% to record 10.682 points.
