Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 1 September 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.2% to record EGP 461.537bn compared to EGP 462.665bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached  22.79% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 237.763mn which represents 4.03% of the total trading volume today after 6.955million shares were exchanged capturing 0.58% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.42% to reach 31.174 points EGX70 increase by 0.92% to record 7.167 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.95%to record 10.282 points.
