Credit Agricole tops followed by CIB with a rate of 2.52 and 2.25% respectively

Credit Agricole Bank – Egypt topped the First Bank list of most efficient listed banks in investing assets (return on assets ratio) with a rate of return on average assets amounting to 2.52% during the first 9 months of 2022.

First bank has conducted a research on 11 listed banks listed and came up with a final list that revealed that all banks have achieved positive return on assets ratios; given the success of the banks in achieving net profits at varying levels and that none of these banks achieved losses during the period from January to September 2022.

The return on average assets measures the efficiency of banks in investing assets at their disposal to generate net profits during the period under analysis. The higher the return, the more the bank has efficiently utilized its assets to achieve appropriate profit levels.

Housing Bank was on third place on the list of the most efficient listed banks in investing its assets

CIB ranked second as it achieved a rate of return on average assets of 2.25% during the first 9 months of this year, while the Housing and Development Bank took was third with a rate of return on average assets of 1.96% during the same period.

QNB Al Ahli was fourth as it achieved a rate of return on average assets of 1.75% during the first 9 months of 2022, followed by Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt in fifth place with a rate of return on average assets of 1.68% during the same period.

Figures used in calculating rates of return on average assets are according to theseperate financial statements announced for each bank by the end of September 2022.
