Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 22 October 2024 with increase in the market cap by 1.2% to record EGP 446.293bn compared to EGP 440.953bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.20% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 430.297 which represents 8.57% of the total trading volume today after 9.694 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.86% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX30 alone and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.06% to reach 30.537 points EGX70 increase by 2.34% to record 7.867 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.80% to record 11.053 points.
