EGP index continues its free falling against a basket of major currencies on Monday

The Egyptian pound index declined against the major currencies during Monday 9, January 2023 trading. The index slumped to 64.202 points, compared to 66.202 points at the end of Thursday’s trading.

The Egyptian pound index declines against a basket of seven major currencies that measures the performance of the pound. It fell against the Pound Sterling, the Japanese Yen, and the Chinese yuan, the Euro, US dollar, the UAE dirham and Saudi Riyals.

The average rate of the US dollar in Egypt rose from EGP27.16 to EGP27.61 for buying and from EGP 27.07 to EGP 27.53 at the end of the day's transactions.

The average selling price of the pound sterling in Egypt increased from EGP 32.68  to EGP32.51at the end of the day's trading, while the average buying price increased from  EGP 32.57 to EGP 33.39

The average selling price of the euro in Egypt rose from EGP 28.83 to EGP 29.51 in today's trading, while the average buying price rose from EGP28.72 to EGP 29.41

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt rose from EGP 20.51 to EGP 20.88 at the end of the day's trading, while the buying price rose from EGP20.44 to EGP 20.81

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt increased from EGP 3.95 to EGP 4.07, while the purchase price increased from EGP 3.93 to EGP 4.05

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal in Egypt rose from EGP 7.23 to EGP7.35, while the average buying price rose from EGP 7.20 to EGP 7.20.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt increased from EGP 7.39 to EGP 7.51, while the buying price increased from EGP 7.37 to EGP 7.49
