AAIB tops the list of banks most focused on syndicated loans, with a concentration ratio of 28.17%, while saib ranks second with 27.77%.

HSBC-Egypt holds the third position with 21.23%, and the United Bank and BANK NXT secure the fourth and fifth places with concentration ratios of 20.25% and 19.06%, respectively.

SC Bank, EGBANK, and CIB are among the top ten banks most focused on syndicated loans, with concentration ratios of 17.90%, 17.48%, and 17.27%, respectively.

The First Bank list of banks most focused on investing in syndicated loans as of the end of June 2025 revealed that Arab African International Bank «AAIB» topped the list, as syndicated loans accounted for about 28.17% of the bank’s total customer loan portfolio, with syndicated loans amounting to EGP 62.69 billion, while total customer loans reached EGP 222.54 billion by the end of June 2025.

The list monitors the investment trends of 24 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector for which financial data were available for the analysis period, specifically regarding corporate syndicated loan portfolios. It is based on the ratio of (syndicated loans / total customer loans) to provide an indicator of how much the bank’s loan portfolio is concentrated in syndicated loans.

Returning to the list, saib Bank ranked second, as 27.77% of its total customer loans were concentrated in syndicated loans. The total syndicated loans at the bank amounted to EGP 21.83 billion, while total customer loans stood at EGP 78.61 billion by the end of June 2025.

HSBC-Egypt ranked third, as syndicated loans represented 21.23% of the bank’s total customer loans by the end of June 2025. The bank’s syndicated loan portfolio amounted to EGP 12.85 billion, while total customer loans reached EGP 60.53 billion by the end of June 2025.

the United Bank came in fourth place, with syndicated loans representing 20.25% of the bank’s total customer loans by the end of June 2025. The total customer loans amounted to EGP 34.79 billion, while syndicated loans reached EGP 7.04 billion by the end of June 2025.

BANK NXT ranked fifth, as 19.06% of its total customer loans were concentrated in syndicated loans by the end of June 2025. The syndicated loan portfolio amounted to EGP 7.82 billion, while total customer loans stood at EGP 41.01 billion by the end of June 2025.

Suez Canal Bank «SC Bank» came sixth, with syndicated loans accounting for about 17.90% of its total customer loans. The syndicated loan portfolio amounted to EGP 17.22 billion, while total customer loans reached EGP 96.25 billion by the end of June 2025.

EGBANK ranked seventh, as syndicated loans represented 17.48% of the bank’s total customer loans by the end of June 2025. The bank’s syndicated loans amounted to EGP 10.31 billion, while total customer loans reached EGP 58.98 billion by the end of June 2025.

Commercial International Bank «CIB» ranked eighth, as syndicated loans represented 17.27% of its total customer loans by the end of June 2025. The bank’s syndicated loan portfolio reached EGP 80.61 billion, while total customer loans amounted to EGP 466.81 billion by the end of June 2025.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank-Egypt «ADCB» ranked ninth, as syndicated loans accounted for 15.41% of its total customer loans. The syndicated loan portfolio stood at EGP 10.38 billion, while total customer loans reached EGP 67.39 billion by the end of June 2025.

As for the tenth place, it went to Banque de Cairo «BDC», as 15.34% of its total customer loans were concentrated in syndicated loans. The bank’s syndicated loan portfolio amounted to EGP 34.05 billion, while total customer loans reached EGP 221.70 billion by the end of June 2025.
